Any head unit shouldn't drain the battery as yours does, I think it may be wired incorrectly.
I'd run 2 direct lines from the battery 1 via an inline fuse straight to the head unit power in and one to the earth, link the constant live to the ignition input if you ever do want to save your presets.
Either that or the alternator belt is loose or a bad connection somewhere else.

I have a seicento and the think i found is that you have to turn the stereo off seperately to the ignition - my brother left the stereo on for about 10 hours straight and that killed the battery. I know it will cause you more effort but if you already had a cd player you're better to stick with it. My old car was at risk from giving me a shock because there were wires dangling out of the dash board the previous owner was a boy racer who had fiddled with nearly everything on the dash

Check the wiring, there is a permanently live to keep the coding and should be a seperate Auxiliary feed so it switches off with the ignition, It is staying on all the time.

yeah well this could be a few things mate, if you have a sup and amp then its almost 100% gonna be your problem as you run a direct live from the battery which is what was draining my car on me! so i had to take the fuse out of the amp everynight, or if it is just the headunit then maybe the remote or sumthin like that is causing the unit to stay on all the time, i no it sounds silly but why not take it down to your nearst halfords and they will probably be able to pin point it straight away, JUST DONT LET THEM SELL YOU ANYTHING!! lol and what that guy said at the top, it probably has been wired incorrectly….
